Who is Canadian Commercial Drones
Emergency response taught me one thing above everything else: the highest consequence operations demand the highest consequence operators. People who understand risk at a level that goes beyond a checklist.
Canadian Commercial Drones exists for exactly that work.
I’m a serving Fire Captain with 26 years of emergency response experience across structural fire, wildland operations, swiftwater rescue, technical rope rescue, hazmat, and incident command. In 2014 a background in industrial electronics and a decade of flying drones converged into something I couldn’t ignore. In 2026 that became Canadian Commercial Drones Inc.
We’re based in Squamish, BC, operating under a Transport Canada RPOC with Level 1 Complex BVLOS certification. SAIL IV capable. DJI M300 RTK with Zenmuse H20T thermal payload.
The missions we’re built for are the ones most operators won’t take on. Complex terrain. High-stakes environments. Operations where the margin for error is zero and the cost of getting it wrong is measured in something other than dollars.
Thermal mapping. LiDAR capture. Forensic documentation. SAR support. Infrastructure inspection. Heavy lift. Remote access in locations ground crews can’t safely reach.
There are 507 Level 1 Complex operators in Canada. 487 active RPOCs issued. The operators who can legally and safely execute the missions that actually matter, in real terrain, under real conditions, are still a small group.
CCD is built to be one of them. Not just for one industry. For any industry where the stakes are high enough to demand it.
